1957 Bel-Air
Here’s a car that was in rough shape. As evidenced by the pictures to the left, the body began as a Frankenstein looking character...old mixed with new...fenders, quarters, wheel wells, door skins, you name it. But, we got the fit just right and even the underside received show quality attention.
The body needed to be right to deserve the distinction of setting on an Art Morrison Tri-5 chassis. This setup includes, a 355 small block, March Performance pulleys and brackets, polished Billet a/c compressor, polished Tuned Port fuel injection system, tubular A-arms, rack & pinion steering, front and rear disc brakes, 4-link rear suspension sitting on 17” American Racing wheels, and much more.
Inside the car, the traditional bench front seat was replaced with bucket seats. A custom, hand fabricated center console runs from the dashboard to the back seat. The interior was lined with HushMat to absorb sound and dampen vibration. A Vintage Aire air conditioning system was added to keep passengers cool and comfortable. This was a great project and a great car. |
