1961 Impala
Like so many restoration projects it’s difficult to imagine that this car was, at one time, nothing more than rust held together by a few fragmented body panels. As a result of a complete frame-off restoration, this beauty has just recently headed home to Michigan.
X-frame era cars are always tricky, but the body panel gaps and alignments in this restored car are excellent. The engine and drivetrain components were all meticulously restored. We also re-built the original Harrison air conditioning system. All of the chrome was restored, while most of the exterior trim was replaced with replica aftermarket pieces.
The car’s finish is spectacular...a tri-coat white pearl paint that glows in the sunlight. Inside, we have restored the car to original showroom quality. This car is simply eye popping. |
